Oops, I think I may not have been reading attentively enough, for I thought the Irish officer Mrs Smith is peaking of and Captain Wentworth is one and the same - to my book again!

But in any case, I was asking whether it is possible that CW could be Irish (even if not connected to the Staffords) - or is that very unlikely?
