Thanks for giving your thoughts on this so thoroughly, Rae ;-). Good reading. My main reason for suggesting the Captain make overtures to Anne's elders is because he wasn't allowed to make it to her. I don't think it's an outlandish idea that he make another offer once he is successful, but we will agree to disagree on it! ;-) Great discussion, thank you!
