Ch. 15: Anne’s positive impression of CW’s manners   Written by Kathryn Ann (10/29/2008 10:41 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, I think Anne was just being polite, penned by Martina
Are you new?

And another reference to CW's manners: we have Anne’s very high regard for CW’s manners in a roundabout way when Anne was first introduced to Mr. Elliot at Bath (chapter 15):

He [Mr. Elliot] was quite as good-looking as he had appeared at Lyme, his countenance improved by speaking, and his manners were so exactly what they ought to be, so polished, so easy, so particularly agreeable, that she could compare them in excellence to only one person's manners. They were not the same, but they were, perhaps, equally good.

So, after all that has passed at Uppercross and Lyme, after so many in this GR have been want to bash CW about the head and shoulders for his LACK of manners to Anne, Anne appears to be looking at CW’s manners as polished, easy and particularly agreeable! Hmmmm.
