that in the absense of the older sister, she actually should be referred to as Miss Elliot. But perhaps the never standing on ceremony that Anne felt towards the Musgroves was mutual!

(An aside - it's very annoying to have the Charles Bingley question because I'm always tempted to write either Musgrove or Hayter!)
