All fascinating, Julie; up to your usual standard of excellence. I particularly like the photograph "from the site of the White Hart, after demolition." It is so VERY clear, and yet so VERY old! It feels like it was taken in JA's time, even though I know that is impossible.

I also loved the information on Eleazer Pickwick, and from "John Cary's Itinerary." I feel a real sense of immediacy from your whole posting; kind of a "You Are There" feeling.
