Was the Adm saying that Sir Walter hadn't maintained the house? Written by JanELT (10/22/2008 8:22 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Yes, some smoke comes into the room, penned by Susan Elizabeth

Was the Adm inadvertently alluding to Sir Walter's financial woes? Or was it an innocent remark? I want to think it's an innocent remark, since the Adm is such a jolly good fellow, but I wonder if Anne was thinking - "Hmmm... poor spendthrift Dad..." neglecting the upkeep of Kellynch :-)
