What does it mean when the chimney smokes?   Written by JanELT (10/22/2008 12:34 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Smoking chimney..., penned by MarianneR
Are you new?

Ch 13: "The breakfast-room chimney smokes a little."

I have a chimney too but it seems to be working, so what happens with a smoking chimney? Does it mean smoke drew into their breakfast room rather than up and away? TIA for explanation.
