Group Therapy :-)   Written by JanELT (10/22/2008 12:21 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Freedom from pain..., penned by Moni
Are you new?

You made a good point about Anne recovering as she helped Benwick to recover and move on. Perhaps it was a note to self :-)

IMO, another person who might have benefited from Anne's experience was Mrs Musgrove as she wept over "poor Richard" in Ch 6. It was interesting to me that Anne was the one sitting on the couch with Mrs Musgrove, listening to her resurrected grief.

I think Anne's strength of character came not only as she suffered through 8 years of pain over Wentworth, but also from the time when she had lost her mother at 14YO.

Her personal losses made her a better counselor to others, and her generosity allowed her to dispense her counsel wherever needed.
