Admiral Croft and Sophy taking down the mirrors provides another example of them doing things together; not calling on a servent.
Do you suppose the smoking chimney in the breakfast room was left so long as one of Elizabeth's little economies ?
The Elliots aren't concerned with practical maintaince as appearance; mirrors, livery and re-decorating the drawing room.

Oh dear ! I do hope the chimney didn't smoke didn't up the numerous mirrors adorning the rooms of Kellynch.

Did he take any of his mirrors to Bath ? I bet he did. Sir Walter's self-absorption is definately reflected in his mirrors.
