In reading Mary's letter in this chapter, and Elizabeth and Sir Walter's reaction to it, I can't help but think: with such a family, how did Anne turn out to be such a lovely lady? I am AMAZED; Mary, and the rest of her family are a bunch of self-centered, obnoxious, egotistical ninnies!
