And why did she want to leave them after Anne´s arrival? Written by MarianneR (10/20/2008 3:48 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, What has Mrs Clay been doing?, penned by Cheryl

I had similar thoughts on Mrs. Clay. It struck me also that she planned to leave them all after Anne had arrived. Wasn´t there enough room? Did she fear that she took Anne´s place (but how could that be after Anne wasn´t valued by her family anyway)? Or did she just feel Anne´s repugnance towards her? Or even that she saw Anne was seeing through her intrigue (if ther was any)?

A strange woman indeed...
