As for the "Dear, sweet Louisa!" exclamation, IMO CW's guilt feelings, combined with the fact that she was badly injured and nearly died, make him suddenly value her and remember all her good points, as might happen to any of us if we saw someone we liked in a similar situation. I don't think it means that he is in love with Louisa.
