Wentworth's Manners to Anne   Written by Kathryn Ann (10/16/2008 11:54 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Captain Harville's Manners, penned by Martina
Are you new?

Is no one else struck by the fact that as dreadful as CW's manners to Anne seem to us, the readers, not once does anyone of the Uppercross party indicate any hint that Wentworth's manners or behavior towards Anne are lacking? Did I miss some mention of that? By way of contrast, everyone talked about Darcy's (bad)and Bingley's (good) manners in P&P.

I am half of the opinion that Anne is so marginalized by all and Wentworth such a new favorite that no one would care to notice if or how they interact, and half of the opinion that the two must exchange the required civilities sufficiently well that no one looks beyond that.

Opinions of others?
