that JA meant Mrs.Musgrove was to be ridiculed because of her figure not being apt to her grieving? This seems very hard IMO. But perhaps I havenīt thorouhgly understood Janeīs character yet. And when I consider Patriciaīs quotation above dealing with an unkind remark of JA about a woman's miscarriage - well perhaps you are right. Being a bit confused...
