Now that's an interesting interpretation Written by JoAnn (10/15/2008 12:32 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Anne is Vexed?, penned by LeeAnne

I got more of an impression that Anne was almost grateful for Mrs. Musgrove's separating them, as she was so uncomfortable with the whole situation - I don't think she could have borne his direct regard at this point! Notice how carefully they've been ignoring and avoiding each other. Just being on the same couch was uncomfortably close enough.
