Are you new?

... a L&T expert or any reader familar with the companion book, 'Jane Austen and the Navy' by B. Southam for an opinion of the book for understanding the navy in JA's time and if it is a reliable source ?

Thanks for these suggestions, they may be too specialized for me but think I'll purchase Nelson's Navy. Maybe the Wynne Diaires for an insight into Sophie Croft's life on ship.

I greatly enjoyed reading your post on Mrs Croft's life complete with pictures. :)
