Are you new?

I think Capt. Wentworth's determined silence toward Anne makes her feel more isolated from others at Uppercross as well.
She appears to withdraw into herself reciting poetry on the walk to Winthrop, and being useful to others rather than living for herself.
Despite being a man who has achieved great things for his country Wentworth remains angry with a young woman whose had little control of her life; and she knows it.
