...: but as I see it Wentworth's behaviour to Anne, especailly at Uppercross is not kind nor perceptive and causes her pain.

He could have made it all so different, the rich, confident, professional ,successful big man that he is....but he didn't.

Let's see if he improves on further acquaintance ;-)
