A Social History of the Navy 1793-1815 written by Michael Lewis, for its wealth of detail about our the navy of our era and especially them men who made up this particular fighting force. It is also one of the most well written accounts I have encountered.
And if you can find a copy of Nelson's Navy : Ships, Men and Organization, 1793-1815 by Brian Lavery ( forewarod by Patrick O'Brian) I think you will enjoy it. It is out of print but there are many copies around second hand. It is a sumptously illustrated book and gives a good grounding.
