to Mr Darcy's predicament upon his return to Longbourn: Elizabeth takes him to task for being "distant" :

"You might have talked to me more when you came to dinner."

"A man who had felt less, might."

Of course Elizabeth felt confused and vexed by this behaviour on Darcy's part: Anne is mortified, hence my dislike of Wentworth's treatment of Anne at this time.
