Staying at Kellynch   Written by MarianneR (10/14/2008 3:36 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Agree with everything, BUT, penned by Martina
Are you new?

I don´t think CW´s extended visit to Kellynch Hall was due to Anne. In ch.9 we read:

He had intended, on first arriving, to proceed very soon into Shropshire, and visit the brother settled in that county, but the attractions of Uppercross induced him to put this off. There was so much of friendliness, and of flattery, and of every thing most bewitching in his reception there; the old were so hospitable, the young so agreeable, that he could not but resolve to remain where he was...

I think in the first place it was pleasant for him to be flatterd by the Musgrove girls. That this included meeting Anne as well was IMO a rather awkward side effect.
