I can't keep wondering why he agreed to visit his sister at Kellynch? He must have been curious about Anne. But even after he had met her, he stayed on. I think there is a phrase somewhere about how he had meant to stay only a few weeks and in the end it was a few months.

He keeps running into her. He must keep hearing her praises from his sister and the Admiral and the entire Musgrove family. Everyone in that circle loves Anne.

I like to think her presence was having an effect on him, as much as he continued to hide it and deny it to himself ...
