It's safe to assume that their retrenching sojourn in Bath won't be enough for Sir Walter or Elizabeth to learn any lesson of the sort, but Anne is clearly adept at adapting to her new circumstances at Uppercross, and even finding some kind of fulfillment in forging a key role for herself within that particular "new" circle (i.e. not her own house), as everyone's confidant and as the capable aunt.
