Why shoudn't she have known that Admiral Croft was Written by Graciela (10/10/2008 5:35 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, I was unclear, sorry. :), penned by Jace

Frederick's brother-in-law?

I assume that he should have told her that he has a sister married to a (whatever his rank was at that time) Croft. It's also possible that she had received this information from Mr. Wentwoth with whom she was acquainted earlier.
