Anne at seven and twenty, who had probably watched over FW's career, could see that the daring new commander had done well. But that really was hindsight.

I am also not a fan of LR, but I do have to agree that my eyes have been opened. I will give her some credit for arguing on the side of caution, but why not suggest a long engagement - a topic that I plan to look into. I still feel that she did not act without prejudice.
