Where is the word "claimed"   Written by CarolTS (10/8/2008 5:59 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, I read this line differently, penned by Line

in the quotation she used? My book says it exactly like she wrote it. So to me - it means just what she said initially - that Anne was happy not to be there until they were gone, then she wished she could have seen them. And that both those emotions were natural.
