I read this line differently Written by Line (10/8/2008 5:17 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Another amusing/sweet contradiction..., penned by Reeba

I read "[Anne] found it most natural to be sorry that she had missed the opportunity of seeing them" as "Anne found that she was able to ACT very natural when she CLAIMED she was sorry she'd missed them" (not that she actually was sorry to have missed them in the least). :-)
