Not at sea at that time?   Written by JanELT (10/7/2008 6:14 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, In CH 4 it says that..., penned by Reeba
Are you new?

I thought that CW was land-bound at the time of his relationship with Anne. It wasn't until after he was spurned that he rushed off to sea to a new career. Having said that, I thought it'd always been on his mind that at some point in time in his life, he'd join the Navy and would "soon have a ship" but at the time of their engagement/disengagement, he was in some no-name profession that had no future. Am I wrong?

P.S. Why is the anti-spam question below about P&P instead of P?
