There is one sentence in the book,.. Written by Reeba (10/7/2008 6:02 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Of Rank & Men per Lady Russell, penned by Robbin

in CH 4 which might have weighed heavily in Lady Russel's opinion against Wentworth;

...Captain Wentworth had no fortune. He had been lucky in his profession; but spending freely what had come freely, had realized nothing.

Now this has to be something that would scare Lady Russell.
