A small house   Written by Cheryl (10/6/2008 11:35 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, No moderation..., penned by Mandy N
Are you new?

I think Anne's wishes for "a small house in their own neighborhood" (ch. 2) were quite unrealistic. Even were Sir Walter not puffed up by his own consequence, just think about what that would mean: they'd be living in a small house, seeing Kellynch and her new residents all the time, attending social functions there, not as hosts, but as guests, seeing the grounds and know that they - for all intents and purposes - belong to someone else and not being able to use them, etc. All this for at least seven years. I think that would be difficult and a lot to ask of even a sensible man, let alone Sir Walter.
