Welcome to the Persuasion Group Read, I'm looking forward to discussing my favorite Austen novel with you all. A few things to keep in mind and hints of things to come:

• Please check out the link to the Group Read Schedule and Guidelines. We've recently revamped the Group Read guidelines in order to address some concerns participants have had. The biggest change is the request to regulate your posting. There was some discussion about this on the Persuasion Board last week; if you missed it, you can find it here. If you still have any questions, please feel free to ask.
• JulieW, Farah-Naz and Myretta have worked very hard on the Persuasion Gazetteer. It is a wonderful thing and a great addition to Pemberley. There are maps and contemporary descriptions of every place name in Persuasion, and at least one entry for every chapter (save one) in the novel. I'm planning a weekly Gazetteer Scavenger Hunt that I hope will be fun and help you get acquainted with the Gazetteer.
• Another (hopefully!) fun activity will be a weekly "Persuasion Mad-Lib." For those outside the US, Mad-Libs are a close cousin to the English game of "Consequences." More details on this later in the week.
• And lastly, please have fun - I know I plan to!
