Your poem comes closest to the classical form of the haiku of all our efforts. Even without the seasonal reference and the natural setting, you managed to create that sudden leap of connection and recognition that is at the core of the genre.

But Benwick's bird quoth not 'nevermore'
Louisa's name replaced Lenore!
