I cannot quarrel about such a compliment to my favorite writer! The conservation allows so much emotion to be felt by Anne, Capt Harville and Captain Wentworth that man and woman are both redeemed for their perceived and actual faults of inconstancy. I think it shows that JA knew how to get to the heart of the matter and what would best allow her to bring it to the hearts of her gentle readers.
