B was a threat to Wentworth as Mr. Collins was a threat to Darcy. I always thought of B as a great nose-wiper, and "a man who cries very easily," as Truman Capote decribes a character in one of his stories. I certainly do not ascribe to the theory that a man who admires poetry is less of a man for that, but B stands out ...
