Good witch or bad witch?   Written by gkb (11/1/2005 7:44 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Elizabeth is witchy, penned by JennyAllan
Are you new?

If you all are using the word 'witchy' as a substitute for a rhyming word, then I suppose you mean a bad witch. If you are using it in the sense of "a knowledgeable, powerful, capable, forceful, or magical woman" then my two cents is that EE is not the least witchy. She does have some slight power over Anne's marriage prospects by keeping her away from London--but she has none of the knowledge or inner qualities of a truly powerful person--she only has rank and the artificial authority of rank. Anne has more true power wherever she goes than EE has in her own chosen set.
