little Charles' accident and more   Written by Margaret H (11/1/2005 5:56 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, P1, penned by Cheryl
Are you new?

>I was also disappointed that they didn't have little Charles' dislocated collarbone or little Walter on Anne's back. I thought I remembered them being in this adaptation, but I was wrong.

I agree. I just finished watching P1 again and the loss of this scene removes the irony from the scene where Mary feels she is better qualified to nurse Louisa.

P1 is growing on me for sure though. I watched P2 just 2 days ago and I've decided I like the after the letter scene as they walk through the parks of Bath much better than the carnival scene. Not only is it truer to the book, but it seems much more romantic.

Also, I have much easier time believing that the sister of P1 Captain Harville is as wonderful and beautiful as they describe Fanny. P2 CH is much coarser, although still very nice. I can't really imagine Mary wanting to stay with Louisa at the Harville's in P2.
