The ending   Written by Cheryl (11/1/2005 1:38 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Uh huh..., penned by MaryAnn K.
Are you new?

I finished watching it tonight, and I agree - the best thing about it was the ending where we got the long conversation between Anne and Frederick. Though it felt a bit stilted. They walked and posed and spoke. Then they walked and posed and spoke.

Maybe that's it. The whole production was stilted - eveyone posed and "Acted." It doesn't have the naturalness and ease of P2. And I did't feel any tension between Anne and Frederick until he is writing The Letter, whereas in P2, there are those wonderful moments of Anne gripping the chair when she first sees Wentworth again, and the closeup on his hands as he helps her into the Crofts' gig, and his being flustered at Molland's...

I'm glad I watched P1 again - it really has been years, but I'll be watching P2 tomorrow. ;-)
