In S&S, as you say Elinor and Edward marry on a bit less than 1,000 pounds. Mrs Jennings considers that Edward and Lucy could marry on some 500 pounds, and that Marianne and Willougby could marry on some 700 and Willougby's expectations of his rich relative.
P&P is the fairytale romance, with Darcy's 10,000.
Emma is the story of a very wealthy woman in her own right, with 30,000 pounds in her dowry.
In MP, I don't think we are ever told exactly how much Fanny and Edmund marry on.
I don't think that that much has changed, JA has just choosen a less wealthy outcome than in P&P and Emma. 1,000 a year seems in line with the other novels.
