What became of her children? :-{   Written by Ann2 (10/28/2005 4:47 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, I doubt it, penned by Cheryl
Are you new?

They were living with their grandfather and must continue to do so, I suppose? She does seem an awful woman. I hope Mr Shepherd lived to see them grow up.

Is she bewitched by Mr E or is it mostly mercenary reasons guiding her and for how long has this been going on? They haven't met before these last months in Bath? Guess they met secretely then? Was Mr E securing her while he was still hoping to win Anne? Shudder! How then would he have proceeded after the marriage, he aspired to, took place?
I suppose their union did not last long. He needed only to drag her in the dirt to spoil her chances with Sir Walter. Terrible risk for her to end up with yet another child. Mr E has done nothing to make one believe he would provide for her/them once he had left her. He is an awful man, so they are sort of well matched in a wretched way.
