The biggest forgiveness I see in Persuasion is Anne's forgiveness of CW for the way that he treats her when he first comes into her company again at Uppercross. He admits to her in the epilogue that his attentions to Louisa were "the attempts of angry pride." I don't think CW was deliberately trying to be spiteful, but it was cruel and stupid, nonetheless. That's alot to forgive.
