second attachment differ to some extent.

Second chance for Anne and FW was under the condition that their love for each other had never died.
FW had loved no one else but her, and as for Anne, we know that it was FW all the time.

Second attachments in S&S come only after the first one had died, if it existed at all (I mean Willoughby, Lucy).
