Of course, I've liked LR all along, but the second passage you quote really makes me love her. The world is so full of people to whom being right *is* more important than anything else(though they won't admit it), and also of people who want their loved ones to be happy the way *they* want them to be happy, rather than in their own way. LR is behaving like a good mother, here.
