I agree with you and I think it rounds out the “could have beens” very nicely. I noticed that Mrs. Smith was 19 when she married but I did not follow it through, shame on me. Everything is what it is for a reason with JA and it is so much fun to figure out what that reason is. I do not think FW would be duped and mislead, too commanding, but perhaps he could have been too reckless when young and end up the same way. Thank you for pointing this one out. :)
