Mrs. Smith is untrustworthy   Written by Mia I. (10/26/2005 10:10 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, No apologies, no resentment, penned by Maisy

I completely agree that one does not have to fall into defined category about a character. Any generalization comes at the expense of accuracy. I also have to admit that I did not always resent Mrs. Smith's behavior. I used to be grateful to her for appreciating Anne. But Mrs. Smith tried to ingratiate herself by recommending Mr. Elliot. Just because Mrs. Smith needed a man to take care of Mrs. Smith’s business. Can she be trusted in the future? One can help her, but one can not rely on impartiality of her judgment.
