in consequence of the missive, Perhaps I am just looking at it with too modern an eye,, penned by Annette J.
She has also thought about Captain Wentworth and Mr Elliot a lot in the background, but then she has also thought a lot about the Crofts, Mrs Clay, Sir Walter Elliot's financial well-being, and the Dalrymples.
In the past eight years we know she has:
It doesn't sound that pathological to me. In terms of attention time, it sounds quite normal amongst friends and close family members. I don't know about you, but I find it quite normal to talk about friends' and family's relationships, and have private opinions, and unlike Lady Russell I have a full-time job, a larger family, and an internet connection to distract me. I would never intefere like Lady Russell does but then I am not a mother or in a like position.
And furthermore, if 3 times in 8 years is pathological, then what word do you have to describe engaging in spending 8 weeks reading through one novel and commenting on every little detail, even though it's fiction? :)
