Correct opinions   Written by Line (10/24/2005 7:03 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, What does she really think?, penned by Robbin
Are you new?

I just wanted to mention that in P&P, Mrs. Gardiner approves of Darcy because *he* seems to have "correct opinions". I don't think *having* COs was the problem in JA's eyes - the put-down "politically correct" had not yet been coined! ;-) IMO, Anne's problem is that Mr. Elliot *professes* correct opinions, but she can't tell whether he is sincere or not.
