The idea that Lady Russell is unable to give Anne’s opinions the weight they deserve because she still sees her as a child, or at least too young and inexperienced to know better than herself, is an excellent point and one I had not considered. I will submit that it does gentle her logic a little but not the wrongness of some actions. :)
