I say: Guilty as charged! Written by Kim in AK (10/22/2005 8:05 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Mr Elliot in the Pump Room with a Concert Bill?, penned by Ann2

It strikes me that Mr. Elliot was rather ungallant, if not downright rude, to interrupt Anne and CW's conversation. It seems contradictory with his facade as a very polite gentleman. So I say he must have felt particularly compelled to interrupt. This is the second time he's observed Anne and CW in flustered conversation, and I don't think this would escape his attention. It seems to me that he has made it a point to give CW the impression that he has a proprietary claim on Anne.

Wretched man.

Oh, well. Turnabout is fair play. The battle for CW has come to an amicable end; it's time for the men to duel for Anne's affections.
