Actually, Elizabeth recalls that Darcy has no immoral or *irreligious* habits, so I agree that's another direct reference to religion. BTW, it was Jenny Allan who mentioned that she thought JA was poking a bit of fun at Anne about the Sunday-travelling. I hadn't thought of that, but you may both be right...
