Are you new?

I'm talking about the idea of 'refusing' to share the feelings, not whether or not they exist. Anne doesn't refuse to share her feelings--she just has no one with whom she can share them. She has bursts of feelings which she holds in--because there is no outlet for them, not because she does not wish to demonstrate them, which is the impression her cousin give.
